To continue our vision of extending hospitality, the Master Plan calls for these major improvement projects:

  • A new dining hall as a focal point for hospitality and fellowship. The new dining hall will be significantly larger than the existing hall, capable of serving both large or multiple small groups with comfort, flexibility and efficiency.
  • A carefully designed and landscaped worship/amphitheater space. As a worshipping people, this addition will be a "memory maker" for all whose lives are touched in their visits and events at Heartland Center.
  • A meeting room addition for the new Pete´s Cabin. This meeting facility will expand Heartland Center´s capacity to hold major conferences and events, and increase our year-round revenue stream.
  • Remodel the old dining hall. The existing dining hall will be converted into much needed additional meeting space for the growing number of conferences, retreats, and meetings.
  • Renovate the House of Faith. The interior layout of the House of Faith will be redesigned primarily for youth group retreats, making it easier to chaperone and maintain. In addition, an updated House of Faith will add additional capacity and options for larger conferences.
  • Installation of a professional challenge course. Complete!

  • Landscape and ground improvements including a 3 - 4 acre canoeing lake, improved trails, outdoor pavilions, wilderness site shower houses, campsite picnic shelters, gazebos, a playground and a few tree houses will improve the flexibility, attractiveness, and usability of Heartland Center for our guests.
