Heartland Center is a beautiful place to spend a week in natural surroundings in a Christian community. In all Children and Youth Camps, participants will be in a small group of approximately 10 youth and 2 trained adult leaders. Some of the summer camp activities are:

Worship, Swimming, Campfires, Singing, Bible Study, Hiking, Games, Nature Center,

Horseback Riding, Challenge Courses, Archery. Frisbee golf, and Crafts. 

 

 

Goals of the Heartland Center Camping Program

  1. To share the Good News of Jesus Christ
  2. To help lay the foundation for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  3. To ensure that every camper understands they are loved as they are as a child of God
  4. To help campers treat others as children of God
  5. To have fun in safe, exciting, and inclusive activities

 

What to Bring to Camp

 

Bible, Modest Swimsuit / Trunks, Bedroll/Sleeping Bag, Towels – Bath and Swimming, Appropriate Outdoor Clothing, Flashlight, Insect Repellent, Sunscreen, Rainwear, Tennis Shoes (older if you have them), Water Bottle, Toiletry Items, Completed Medical Form

Horse Campers:

Extra Jeans – but it’s OK to wear regular(not too short) shorts for your rides.  Closed toed/closed heeled shoes – sneakers are OK.

Middle School Trip Campers:

A separate letter/email will be sent to you with the specific trip information (ie. what to bring, trip itinerary, arrival departure times and locations, etc.)

What not to bring to Camp

Heartland Camp is a safe experience in a natural setting.  To keep all campers and staff safe, and to maintain our distance from “everyday life,” the following items are not permitted at camp: 

Expensive Articles, Electronics, Money, Flip Flops, Food/Snacks, Candy/Gum, Tobacco Products, Alcoholic Beverages, Pocket Knife etc.
